Venezuelan born Javier Ramirez has a degree in economics and worked for various multinational firms both in Venezuela, the U.S. and U.K. before moving to Miami In 2010 to start a small hedge fund. After it closed in 2015, he decided to follow his passion for food and open a restaurant. He has opened numerous award winning restaurants in Miami since then, and is currently running Palmar and La Natural. He continues to promote places he likes via his social media handle, Gourmandj.
